Ciao!

My name is Caterina and I’m the Creative Director behind Fabula Picta.

I studied Graphic Design and Illustration in Rome, the city where I was born and grew up, amidst my grandfather’s oil paints scattered on the floor and glimpses of a city that looks like something out of a painting. I later deepened my studies in Paris, where between one croissant and another I fell in love with butter, but above all with the world of Art and watercolors.

It was only when I designed the first wedding invitation for a friend that I realized how exciting it was for me to turn a story into a painting and be able to hold it in my hands; something to be treasured as a special memento alongside family heirlooms.

For this reason, I decided to combine my love of brushes and colors with that of paper and printing, creating Fabula Picta, from the Latin ‘Painted Tale‘.
A design and printing studio specializing in invitations, wedding stationery, graphics, and watercolors, where together with the best experts in the field, we create high-quality products, offering a wide range of options dedicated to those who share our passion for creativity, Art, and the search for the simple and original design.

Take a look around and be inspired by the wide range of services we provide.
We look forward to bringing your stories to life through paper, ink, and color!

SOMETHING ABOUT ME

Quid melius
Roma?

I was born and raised in Rome, a city where I was lucky enough to get to know the world of Art up close. An open-air museum where you just need to turn the corner to breathe history and feel part of a painting.

TEAMWORK

I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 15.
I’m not very tall, but it never stopped me. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than a successful spike and post game beers with the team.

CATE IN
PARIS

During my studies, I lived in Paris, in a historic apartment in the heart of the city, with creaking floors and, to put it mildly, modest spaces. The Senna, the Impressionists, and the pain perdu will always be with me, along with the butter scent and the kg on the hips.

MAREMMA’S
HEART

I spent some of the most beautiful summers of my childhood in Tuscany.
My grandparents own a home near Monte Amiata and, thanks to them, I fell in love with the Region, its food, history and its bucolic and picturesque views.
